Candle Painting Workshop: Saturday 13 September
Drop into the SoLo Craft Fair from 12-5pm and get creative during a free candle painting workshop. Surrounded by the pop-up market’s artisan stalls and handmade treasures, be inspired as you design your own candle to take home. This unique crafting experience is open for all ages.
Guided tours including an exclusive view of Leadenhall’s Roman Ruin:
Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 September
Uncover the layers of Leadenhall’s extraordinary past on this free 90-minute walking tour. Travel in time, from Leadenhall’s Roman beginnings and medieval links to Dick Whittington, to Victorian rebirth and role as modern day shopping arcade. But this tour ends with something truly special: exclusive access to the ancient Roman Basilica ruins, hidden beneath one of the Market’s restaurants. Normally closed to the public, this is a rare opportunity to step below street level and into London’s deep history.
