Spanish residents La Viña recreated the electric vibrancy of Calle Laurel in the heart of Leadenhall Market with their ‘Bar Laurel’ pop-up ahead of Christmas. Using Calle Laurel, in the Rioja province of Spain as the inspiration behind their concept, Bar Laurel will continue to bring the gastronomic essence of the region to Leadenhall Market until the end of March with a new look and refreshed menu. Offering tapas, pinchos and ‘raciones’ accompanied with delicious riojas and cervezas for an unforgettable and slightly different dining experience.

New for 2024 is El Bocadillo at Bar Laurel, a cafe and bar serving breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is available until 12pm, and includes a delicious offering of croissants, churros, and pan au chocolate. Get any pastry and a hot drink for just £6. From 12pm – 5pm, indulge in a lunch range of “Bocadillos” – Spanish sandwiches.

Pollock’s Toy Museum

Every Wednesday and Friday, 11am – 3pm

The famous Pollock’s Toy Museum opened its temporary home at Leadenhall in the run-up to Christmas, showcasing some of its magical collection of antique puppets and toy theatres along with a range of toys for sale in this pop-up gift shop.* Due to popular demand the charming store will continue to operate in the Market over the coming months.

*Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop, based in Covent Garden, is run by Louise Heard and is a separate enterprise from the Pollock’s Toy Museum. The two are linked by a shared name, history, and love of toy theatre and toys.
