Join the City’s Official Guides for this limited – edition evening walk in and around Leadenhall, starting at 6.30pm on Wednesdays in August.
Enjoy a Summer evening tour of Leadenhall’s history, an icon of Victorian architecture resplendent in red surrounded by a sea of City of London architecture, buzz and excitement.
Learn more about this most historic of City markets from its time as a hugely significant piece of Roman Londinium, through the Middle Ages when it became established as that most bohemian of places known as “The Great Shambles” to its 19th century renaissance and current day purpose as a trading hub where people still buy, sell and meet. It’s a place rich in tradition and local history.
This is a limited – edition tour with limited places, led by the City of London Guides, an association that runs official tours of The Square Mile and delivers lectures on City related topics. Tickets must be booked in advance through EventBrite.
We try to make our walks as inclusive and accessible as possible but please note there are cobbles and a few kerbs on this walk.
Safety:
The safety of our group members and Guides is paramount and we have limited group numbers to help manage this and places MUST be booked in advance. We are unable to accept onto our tours anyone who has not booked a ticket.
